A bit of Italy meets local farm food in Mt Adams 

A moment of beauty for all the senses from visual to taste happened at the rookwood restaurant this past week to celebrate the opening of the hearth & market wood fired pizza truck and mobile market, and honor the kickstarter supporters that helped to make it happen.

This local farm to table collaboration with chef Jackson Rouse included apertivos of crispy confit free range drumsticks from t&s farm with wood sorrel argumato, garlicky lambs quarter and smashed chick along with calabrian chile rubbed local pork ribs with spiceberry maple agrodolce, crispy spigarello, charred fennel and farro...

The event was breathtaking with the wind softly blowing the awnings like sails on a ship, the view from mt adams of the cincinnati skyline and food satisfied almost on a spiritual level. Guests also went home with honey or maple syrup from the farm to continue the experience in their own kitchens the next morning!
