Hearth & Market’s Steve Zieverink & Wendy Uhlman celebrated the Summer launch of their new food truck and mobile farmers market, by bringing their organic farm produce, products and seasonal menu together with a featured local brew from Arcade Brewery’s Chris Tourre as well as Chef Andrew Loughnane.
The wood fire kick off series brings the best, curated tastes of the farm paired with local brews from the city. We make a thin crust, Neapolitan style pizza, wood fired in our low dome oven, that combines the Italian traditions of the past with local 'farm to table' offerings. This was a truly ephemeral tasting experience utilizing the wood fired food truck, most fresh seasonal ingredients, the chef’s approach to food and drink pairings from a brewer.
The location, Experimental Station, is working to build independent cultural infrastructure on the South Side of Chicago. We do this by fostering a dynamic ecology of innovative educational and cultural programs, small business enterprises and community initiatives. The collaborators included Arcade Brewery, a Chicago-based craft brewery dedicated to creating delicious craft beer inspired by art and community. They love beer, art and community.
Also Build Coffee, a Chicago coffee shop at 61st Street & Blackstone Ave that is opening Fall 2016. They poured stunning coffee in Chemex brewers and proved they really know their stuff!
